This publication shows the results of a workshop 'applied type', which took place in October 2002 on two art academies in Lahti and Helsinki (Finland). The typographic experiments which were executed by the students vary from screen type and bible type, to the fattest type in the world. Each experiment is recorded on one of the 8 double-folded sheets, describing in word and image the assignment, the process and the final solution.
