Letters can slide together halfway and immediately continue in the opposite, mirrored movement. Since the same is achieved if letters were to reverse halfway back to their original form, it is not clear which process is taking place. In the end, the result is that of clapping hands, which come together briefly for a touch and then return to their original place.
