Sauna Dingbats

Illustrative symbols [dingbats] give extra colour to your typography. The Dingbat fonts include 26 illustrations in lower case character positions from a to z. You can use them either Solo (black & white), or in 4 different colours. They remain text, so they nicely float along with the rest of the text.

How-to Sauna Dingbats
This short movie shows how to create multi-layered dingbats with the typeface Sauna.

01) First create a text box, and -- because there are 4 layers in the dingbat font, you have to enter the same character 4 times (in this example it’s the lowercase a, but you can use any other lowercase letter)

02) Give every character a different color.

03) Then change the font to Sauna Dingbats.

04) Activate an OpenType feature called Discretionary Ligatures, and voilà, you'll automatically get a multicoloured dingbat.
