Dolly is a book typeface with flourishes. The family consist out of four fonts.

Dolly Regular is neutral and useful for long texts, and uses old-style figures. Dolly Italic is narrower and lighter in colour than the roman, and can be used to emphasize words within roman text. Dolly Bold is also useful in emphasizing words within roman text. It also works well as a display type. Dolly Small Caps are intended for setting whole words or strings of characters while regular roman capitals are used only for the first letter in a word. They match the roman in weight and have figures that line with the x-height (lining or tabular figures).

With its relatively low contrast Dolly is perfectly legible in very small sizes. When Dolly is applied in larger, display sizes (like book covers), more crispy details will show up which are invisible in small sizes. These four fonts provide a healthy palette for solving most problems within book typography. Therefore the family doesn't consists of hundreds of fonts. As with all our type, if you have a particular design problem which can be solved by adding to or adapting these fonts, please contact us.

You can view the fonts by browsing the online examples on this section, or try the type tester. The best way to quickly see examples of the Dolly typeface is to download and print the Dolly PDF-file.
